About Pearland Locksmith
A licensed, bonded and insured locksmith working Pearland and the surrounding communities.
Why the licensing talk matters
Locksmithing attracts more than its share of bad actors, because the customer is usually stressed, often outdoors, and rarely in a position to shop around. The classic pattern is a very low advertised price, an unmarked car, and an invoice several times the quote once the door is open.
Texas took this seriously enough to regulate the trade. Locksmith companies are licensed through the Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau, and individual technicians have to register and pass a criminal background check. It is not a formality, and any locksmith who cannot produce a license number when asked is telling you something important.
Ours is printed in the footer of every page on this site, not buried on a terms page. Verify it before we arrive if you like.
How we price
One number, on the phone, before anyone drives anywhere. It covers the service call and the labor.
Occasionally a job turns out to be different from the description, a deadbolt that is actually a high security cylinder, a door that needs prep work nobody mentioned. When that happens we stop and requote. You can approve the new number or send us away, and if you send us away you owe the service call and nothing more.
We will talk you out of work. If a rekey does what you need, we will not sell you new hardware. If the lock only needs lubrication and an adjusted strike, we will say so, do it, and charge for a service call. The repeat business and the referrals are worth more than one padded invoice.
What we will not do
- Drill a lock that can be picked, or drill anything without telling you first and getting a yes.
- Open a door for someone who cannot establish a connection to the property or the vehicle.
- Quote one price on the phone and a different one at the door.
- Leave without an itemized receipt in your hand.
- Take on networked access control we do not specialize in, when an integrator would serve you better.
The work we do most
Post-closing rekeys, house and car lockouts, replacement car keys, deadbolt upgrades, and commercial rekeys after staffing changes. Nights and weekends skew heavily toward lockouts, which is exactly what you would expect.
Whatever it is, the same licensed crew handles it, arriving in a marked vehicle, in uniform, with a license number they are happy to show you.
